Kevin Garnett returned to the lineup after missing 13 games with a knee injury and gave the Celtics a much-needed spark.
KG scored 10 points and collected five rebounds in just under 15 minutes of action, as Boston pulled off a 80-77 win in San Antonio.
Ray Allen led Boston with 19 points. Rajon Rando added 16 points and 12 assists.
The Spurs had chances to win late, but Tony Parker missed four free throws in the final minute.
Boston went 7-6 without KG in the kineuand needs to get healthy.
The Celtics currently hold the number two seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs, but is just one game ahead of Orlando.
It’ll be interesting to see how Garnett finishes the season. Head coach Doc Rivers has said that he will monitor KG closely and limit his minutes.
