(3) Villanova meets (2) Duke tonight in Boston in what should be an exciting, high-scoring affair.
Both teams are explosive offensively and prone to lapses on the defensive end. I don’t expect either team to clamp down tonight, so look for a game in the high 80’s.
Villanova is led by Scottie Reynolds and Dante Cunningham. Reynolds is a streaky shooter who has the ability to take over games. Cunningham is a smooth post player with a nice perimeter jumper.
‘Nova might have the best corps of role players of any team in the NCAA tournament. Corey Fisher, Dwayne Anderson, Corey Stokes, and Reggie Redding make the Wildcats a difficult team to defend.
Duke can really score and has played well since Jon Scheyer moved to the point. Gerald Henderson and Kyle Singler create problems with their versatility.
I really like Villanova tonight. Anderson and Redding have the length to matchup with Henderson and Singler. Duke has struggled to contain quick guards all season, and will be tested by Reynolds and Fisher.
The Wildcats depth will be the difference tonight.
This should be a lot of fun. Stay tuned.
