What initially looked like a potentially serious knee injury for Nuggets G J.R. Smith isn’t that bad after all.

Smith went down in the rebound scramble following his missed free throw as time expired in Game 1.

He clutched his knee and was surrounded by teammates before being helped off the court.

George Karl said the injury isn’t a big deal and expects Smith to be ready for Game 2.

This is good news for the Nuggs.  Smith struggled Tuesday night, but as always he has potential to play great when he uses his head.

Who knows if that will happen.

I don’t think he’ll go for game 2 and if he does I doubt he’ll be a factor. He hyperextended his knee. Thats a serious injury no matter what someone says. If he decides to go its just because its playoffs, but that means he won’t be 100%, more like 70% like how howard was with his banged up ankle vs the nuggets.
