2010 Orange Bowl Highlights: Hawks shut down Nesbitt, Jackets

Iowa shut down Georgia Tech’s powerful rushing attack en route to a 24-14 win.  Adrian Clayborn and the Hawkeyes front seven absolutely dominated Georgia Tech’s offense line.  Here are the highlights:

Both teams will likely lose multiple players to the NFL but should still compete for BCS berths next season.  Now to overstate the obvious:  Josh Nesbitt really needs to improve as a passer if G Tech hopes to flourish against balanced defenses.  He looked uncomfortable in the pocket in many games this season and sees the field poorly.

  1. The Hawkeyes will need to retool the o-line, but theres plenty of skill and experience waiting to go. Jewel Hampton returns but will need to earn the running back spot.
And it seems the Hawkeyes do better flying under the radar…so lets rank them 23rd next spring. Right.

  2. Elliot! wheres a couple Orange bowl pics?!
