Mo Williams out tonight against Lakers

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Mo Williams is expected to sit out tonight’s marquee matchup with the Lakers after sustaining a shoulder injury Wednesday.

Williams injured his should in the third quarter while going for a loose ball.  He returned to the game but was diagnosed with a slight tear yesterday.

The Cavs knocked the Lakers on Christmas Day, with Williams dropping in 28 points.  His abscence means more run for the exiled Boobie Gibson, who has played sparingly in recent weeks.

There haven’t been too many compelling stories in the NBA so far this season, but tonight’s game should be very entertaining.

The All-Star starters will be officially announced tonight at 7 ET on TNT.  Hopefully T-Mac is voted in and forced to wear a plain jersey with only a number on it — I’m pretty sure he is still eligible since he remains on the Rockets roster.

Oh boy David Stern, oh boy.
