Thankfully, the 2010 Sprite Slam Dunk Contest is over. I have seen high school dunk contests better than that. Something needs to be done–one possible idea would be to allow the winner of the D-League contest to compete against three NBA dunkers. Here is Dar Tucker, the 2010 champion, unleashing a dunk that certainly would have held up against the NBA competition:
LeBron was noticeably absent from tonight’s festivities. Maybe next year.
